Crochet Brube from the "Skittles Song"

Brube Doll!

So I got a lot of great feedback on the Brube Doll, based on Brube played by Graham Mackie Sr. in the "Skittles Song" video on Youtube!  This video was the creation of Nathan Barnatt in which he plays Skittle's fan, Trale Lewous!  This pattern may be messy and has only been tested by me, so if anything is confusing, feel free to ask or help correct my pattern! Thanks, Natasha (mnopxs2).

I used all worsted weight yarn (you may use whatever you wish tho)  Feel free to use whatever colors you wish, I am just sharing the yarn I used. If you want I can look up the specific yarns I used for each color; I just used yarn I had at home.

Colors:
Light Cream/ Off White (Hair)
White (Hair/Facial Hair)
Peach (Skin)
Brown (Shoes+Belt)
Blue (Eyes)
Grey (Eyebrows)
Orange (Vest)
Red (Vest-pretend flowers)
Black (Vest Back)
Yellow (Shirt)
Khaki (Pants)
Pink (Lips)

Size F-5/3.75mm crochet hook
He came out about 6 1/2 inches tall for me, but that will all depend on how tight or loose you crochet :)

Polyfil for stuffing

Head

Rnd 1: In Peach, make a magic ring and work 5 SC in the ring, do not join, work as continuous rounds (We are starting at the top of his head)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each stitch, repeat around (10 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in first st, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (15 SC)
Rnd 4: SC in next 2 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (20 SC)
Rnd 5: SC in next 3 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (25 SC)
Rnd 6: SC in next 4 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (30 SC)
Rnd 7: SC in next 5 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (35 SC)
Rnd 8: SC in next 6 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (40 SC)
Rnd 9: SC in next 7 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (45 SC)  Add you hair through the rows you just created.  I attach mine on the inside of the scalp and bring it through gaps in the stitches.  I would leave cutting and shaping your hair until the end.  My lower rows I used light cream, then every other follicle was light cream or white, ending in all white hair on top!
Rnds 10-17: SC around (45) Around round 14ish is where I added in my eyes and eyebrows.  I left about 9 stitches in between the eyes.
Rnd 18: SC in next 7 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (40 SC)
Rnd 19: SC in next 6 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (35 SC)
Rnd 20: SC in next 5 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (30 SC) I embroidered my mouth around rows 19 and 20 - you can either add white in the rows to form a goatee/beard or you can stitch it on afterwards.  It would be easier to stitch it on at the end.
Rnd 21: SC in next 4 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (25 SC)
Rnd 22: SC in next 3 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (20 SC) Begin Stuffing head. Stitch a few strands above your mouth to create a mustache, I clipped half the thread (not all the way through) to create prickly pieces to stand out like a real mustache, and then added a bit of glue to the end to prevent splitting.   Then I created a nose (ch 4, SC in 2nd ch from hook and the next 2, ch 1, turn, sc across all 3 sts, fasten off with a tail and sew onto your face above the mustache)
Rnd 23: SC in next 2 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (15 SC)
Rnd 24: SC in next st, sc2tog, repeat around (10 SC)
Rnd 25: Sc2tog around 5 sc (5 SC) Sew up your hole and hide remaining string.

Torso

Rnd 1: In Khaki, make a magic ring and work 6 SC in the ring, do not join.  (We are beginning at the bottom of his torso)
Rnd 2: 2 SC in each st, repeat around (12 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in next st, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (18 SC)
Rnd 4: SC around (18 SC)
Rnd 5: In Brown, SC around (18 SC)
Rnd 6: In Yellow, SC around (18 SC)
Rnd 7-10: SC around (18 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long long long tail to attach it to your head.  When I attached it to my head, I whip stiched mine twice in each stitch in order to form a thick turtleneck at the top of his shirt.

Arms (make 2)

Rnd 1: In Peach, make a magic ring and work 6 SC in the ring, do not join. (We are beginning at the bottom of the hand)
Rnd 2: Sc in the next st, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (9 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in the next st, Sc2tog, repeat around (6 SC)
Rnds 4: In Yellow, SC around (6 SC)
Rnds 5-10: SC around (6 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long enough tail to attach to your body.

Legs (make 2)

Rnd 1: In Brown, make a magic ring and work 8 SC in the ring, do not join. (We are beginning the bottom of the foot)
Rnd 2: SC in the next st, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (12 SC)
Rnd 3: SC in the next 2 sts, 2 SC in next st, repeat around (16 SC)
Rnd 4: In Khaki, SC in the next 2 sts, Sc2tog, repeat around (12 SC)
Rnd 5: SC in the next 4 sts, sc2tog, repeat around (10 SC)
Rnds 6-10: SC around (10 SC)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for attaching your body.

Put your body together and then work the hair last.

Vest

In Black, ch 11
Row 1: SC in the 2nd ch from hook, and in next 9 chs, ch 1 turn (10 SC)
Rows 2-5: SC in each st across, ch 1 turn (10 SC)
Fasten Off and weave in tails

Adding Orange:
Row 1: SC in the bottom 2 rows on the side of your vest.  Ch 5 and sc in the top row of the side of your vest, ch 1 turn.
Row 2: SC in each st across, ch 1 turn
Row 3: SC in each St across
Fasten off and weave in tails.
Add red details to vest if you wish :)

Chap stick for size comparison :)

Now all that is left is putting together your Doll!  Thank you so so so much for reading my pattern!  Hope your project turns out wonderful!  -Natasha (mnopxs2).
